The 91猫先生 Department of Sociology participated in the 12th Annual Undergraduate Sociology Conference, on April 13 and 14, at Western Colorado State University in Gunnison, Colo. The event began with a keynote address by Dr. Joel Best, professor of sociology and criminal justice at the University of Delaware, entitled "Facts, Fake, and Other F-Words: Critical Thinking in Contentious Times."
91猫先生 from Western Colorado State University, Fort Lewis College, and 91猫先生 presented research. Three ASU sociology seniors gave power point presentations of their semester research projects. Marisol Cristobal-Lucas presented "Hispanic/Latino Views on Undocumented/Illegal Immigration." Jessica Fritz and Mayra Garcia presented "ASU 91猫先生’ Attitudes and Behaviors about Contraception."
The conference concluded with students and faculty engaged in stimulating discussions about the sociological implications of the many, varied research projects.
