Just in time for the holiday season, Soulstice Publishing reprinted the award-winning Chasing Excellence: The Remarkable Life and Inspiring Vigilosophy of Coach Joe I. Vigil, by 91猫先生 Alumnus Pat Melgares, Class of 1989.
Chasing Excellence brought home the gold in the International Latino Book Awards in the sports category. It also won a national competition for books published independently in 2020, winning the biography category in the Independent Book Publishers Association鈥檚 annual contest. Chasing Excellence was also a finalist in the Colorado Book Awards in the biography category.
Melgares shares Dr. Vigil鈥檚 tale through his own words and those of more than 50 family members, friends, former runners, and foes who have been shaped by his presence over a lifetime.
