The 91猫先生 Co-Curricular Recreation and Engagement Office (CoRE) Cultural Awareness and Student Achievement (CASA) Center exposed Alamosa Elementary first-grade students to a variety of activities highlighting Hispanic Heritage and science on October 16.
91猫先生 from CoRE CASA introduced the AES students to tortilla making, weaving, making horno smachos (s鈥檓ore nachos) and D铆a de los Muertos altar history. The elementary students also toured the on-sight sheepherder鈥檚 trailer and participated in a hands-on liquid nitrogen ice cream making activity with the Adams Atoms (chemistry club) students.
