ASU Choir will honor veterans
The program will include selections from Mark Hayes Requiem, Ralph Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem, Paul Aitken鈥檚 setting of John McCrae鈥檚 famous poem, 鈥淚n Flanders Fields,鈥 and readings by John Taylor, Ph.D., Adams State professor of theatre, from the war poetry written by Wilfred Owen, a British soldier who died one week before the signing of the armistice.
Day of Dead Celebration is November 3
鈥淚t began with a small display of “Ofrendas” or “Altares” and decorations on the hall outside of the Foreign Language faculty offices. In the last few years, we collaborated聽with the Catholic Church,聽who allows the use of their stage and gymnasium,鈥 Rayas Sol铆s said.

ASU presents SLV Symphony Fall Concert
The concert will feature several popular pieces such as J.S Bach鈥檚 鈥淎ir鈥 from Orchestral Suite No.3, a Bach chorale from his B Minor Mass, Aaron Copland鈥檚 Waltz from Billy the Kid and Edward Grieg鈥檚 monumental Concerto for Piano and Orchestra with William Lipke, D.M.A., as the concerto soloist.
