The Center for Teaching, Innovation, and Research offers design consultations to any office, unit, or department. Design consultations are individualized and collaborative partnerships that support the creation, redesign, or implementation of equitable learning environments. 

Design consultations might include:

  • Onboarding and training programs 
  • Community-engaged partnerships 
  • Collaborations across campus 
  • Curriculum development with a department 
  • Experiential learning and/or Place-Based Learning 
  • Scholarship of Teaching and Learning 
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programming 
  • Implementation of High-Impact Practices 
  • Implementing accessible, culturally relevant, and antiracist strategies 
  • Revision or refresh of a project, initiative, or course 
  • And more! 

Design consultations embrace the , which include (1) centering human experiences and identities, (2) identifying root problems through observation and research, (3) employing systems-level thinking, and (4) developing iterative feedback loops to improve the project.
