Federal Pell Grant

  • Federal Pell Grants usually are offered only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need聽and have not earned a bachelor’s or a professional degree. (In some cases, however, a student enrolled in a聽postbaccalaureate teacher certification program聽might receive a聽Federal Pell Grant.)

Colorado Student Grant (CSG)

The State of Colorado provides grants based on financial need to students who are residents of Colorado.聽If you are a full-time undergraduate resident of Colorado and have completed a FAFSA, you may be eligible for the CSG. Funding is limited and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

EmpowerEd Grant

91猫先生 who meet the criteria below are eligible to have the remaining cost of attendance (after scholarships, grants and other financial aid awards have been applied) covered through this program for up to 132 semester credit hours or 198 quarter credit hours.

  1. Identified by designated school personnel as a homeless child or youth pursuant to the Federal聽聽while residing in Colorado anytime between the start of 9th grade and end of 12th grade,
  2. Is at least 17 years of age, and has not yet reached 27 years,
  3. Is a current Colorado resident,
  4. Has been accepted into an in-state, public institution of higher education, local district college, or area technical college,
  5. Is currently enrolled in courses leading towards the qualifying student鈥檚 first* bachelor鈥檚 degree, associate degree or certificate of completion at an accredited institution of higher education while meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and
  6. Has completed the 聽or the聽 for the applicable school year.

*Please note: EmpowerEd cannot be utilized to pursue a second degree of the same type. For example, if you indicate that you have already received a bachelor’s degree, EmpowerEd can only be used towards a certificate or an associate degree. If you have an associate degree, EmpowerEd can only be used towards a certificate or a bachelor’s degree.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

A Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need. These are students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Priority is given to full-time nonresident students who receive the Federal Pell Grant. FSEOG does not have to be repaid.

FosterEd Grant and Educational Training Voucher (ETV)

  • 聽91猫先生 who were legally placed in foster care in the state of Colorado on or after the age of 13 have an opportunity to receive a grant that will pay for tuition and fees each term while here at 91猫先生. This grant is provided through the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE).
  • The first step to apply for this grant is to self-identify as having been in foster care to 91猫先生 Office of Financial Aid. Send an email to financialaid@adams.edu with your name, student ID, and a statement that you believe you qualify as a recipient of this grant.
  • Next, if you are between the ages of 17-25, you must apply for the Educational Training Voucher (ETV) in order to receive the FosterEd grant. This will provide additional, free money to apply to your cost of attendance. Apply here
